Kicking Horse Pass - Coconut Wax Candle | Hollow Tree
Most western Canadians are familiar with Kicking Horse for it’s skiing and snowboarding, camping and excellent coffee — but it wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for a brave group of explorers. In the 1880’s, an expedition traversed this high mountain pass through the Canadian Rocky Mountains, charting the way for the the Canadian Pacific Railway, and later the Trans-Canada Highway.
When a member of the expedition named James Hector was kicked by his horse on their journey, the name for the region was born.
In Kicking Horse Pass, you’ll experience the scent of mahogany, santal, musk and bourbon with cinnamon, tobacco and patchouli, and even some bergamot -- perfectly encapsulated by this Hollow Tree candle.
